• Spam databases or DNSBL - what is it?

  This is conditionally a blacklist of domain names and IPs. The network has dozens of DNSBLs that differ in unique criteria for adding and removing identifiers from these registries. Network smart filters also use DNSBLs to control the activity (email distribution) of blacklisted domains. In fact, this is the main defensive line from spam.

• Why do you need to check IP if it is on blacklists?

  Analytics allows you to find out whether a specific URL or IP address belongs to DNSBL or SURBL systems. It is used by email administration algorithms to protect recipients from spam messages. Blacklists are checked by email services to decide whether to block or send emails.

• How are IPs blacklisted?

  It is elementary for the IP to be blacklisted. There are a number of tips on how to avoid trouble. For example, if spam is suspected, you should make sure that the target mailbox is not being misused. It is recommended to configure reverse DNS lookup for email servers.

• How does the blacklisted domain or IP in spam databases affect it?

  Domain names or IPs that are included in the database are identified as sources of fraud or spam. Providers, email services, etc. block them according to the principle of synchronization with DNSBL. This leads to the fact that letters and/or requests from such resources are marked, sent to the BAN, and deleted.
